Hidatakayama still remains its feature as the castle-town. People can feel the history of old time festivals and townscape. Also, not only the townscape but also the nature, hot springs, and buildings attract many people from inside and outside Japan.
Hidadaishounyuudou Hidadaishounyudou is a cave located at the highest elevation in Japan and it is a cave where people can enjoy the whimsical atmosphere. The total length is about 800m which is not that long, but it is a spot where people can feel the mystery of nature.
Hidakaiunnomori is a hidden power spot where the statues of the seven deities of good fortune is famous for. What is amazing about the statues is that they are enormous and are built and carved from one large tree. People can feel the power from the statue that is built from a few thousand year-old tree.
Takayamajinya is the only encampment left in japan. Many tourist visit the morning market which is held in front of the encampment.
